Montgomery County Public Schools Purchasing will receive sealed Bids for the above titled project at the Montgomery County Public School Operations Center located at 208 College Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, until 3PM local time on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered.

The Work under this Project consists of the renovation of an existing running track, including new edge drain, jump events, and ADA parking for Montgomery County Public Schools at Eastern Montgomery High School in Elliston, Virginia.

Bid Documents are available for examination at the Montgomery County Public School Operation Center located at 208 College Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. In addition, Bid Documents are available for viewing and download online at TRASCO’s Plan Room website at:         https://www.trascoplanroom.com/jobs/public.

Cost of download, reproduction and/or shipping and handling are the responsibility of the Bidder. Plans can be viewed on the website for free.

This project shall be constructed according to: the plans, the technical specifications, the bid documents and the Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions and Special Provision Copied Notes in this contract.

A NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2024 at 10AM local time at the project site – the track concession stand at Eastern Montgomery High School at 4695 Crosier Rd, Elliston, VA 24087.  Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting, but it is not mandatory. All pre-bid questions must be submitted by email to info@foresightdesignservices.com by 5PM on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Bidder’s attention is invited to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration which specifies the following:

“If a contract is for $120,000 or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is $750,000 or more, the bidder is required under Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a “Class A Contractor.” If a contract is $10,000 or more but less than $120,000 or the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve month period is $150,000 or more, but less than $750,000, the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a “Class B Contractor.” The bidder shall place on the outside of the envelope containing the bid and shall place in the bid over his signature whichever of the following notations is appropriate:

“Licensed Class A Virginia Contractor No.__________________________________________.”

“Licensed Class B Virginia Contractor No.__________________________________________.”

Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any minor non-substantive errors in the Bid.

Montgomery County does not discriminate in the solicitation or awarding of contracts on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law.

Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
