Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Dedmon West Side Door Replacement, Project Code 217-B3217-0C0, on the campus of Radford University, Radford Virginia. The project is generally described as: Removal and replacement of existing exterior and interior entrance doors, including concrete sidewalk replacement, aluminum entrance systems, glazing, resilient flooring & base, painting, and repairs to interior finishes.
Sealed bids will be received at Facilities Planning & Construction Office, Armstrong Complex, 501 Stockton Street, Radford, VA 24142. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on January 28, 2025. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 2:00 P.M., on January 29, 2025 at the same location.
A Bid Bond is required.
eVA Vendor Registration: The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. See the attached eVA Vendor Registration Requirements.
Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and § 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the Facilities Planning & Construction Office, Armstrong Complex, 501 Stockton Street, Radford, VA 24142 at 2:00 pm. on January 7, 2025. Attendance shall be optional for those submitting a bid.
The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications, if the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in Paragraph 12 of the Instructions to Bidders. ‘Notice of Award’ or ‘Notice of Intent to Award’ will be posted on eVA, Virginia Department of General Services’ central electronic procurement website, at https://eva.virginia.gov.
Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements.
All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019.
The Invitation for Bids for the above project, including the drawings and the specifications containing the information necessary for bidding, may be obtained from the office of TRASCO (Technical Reproduction and Supply Corporation). Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com.
Copies of the Invitation for Bids documents, including the plans and the specifications, will also be available for inspection at the following locations:

eVA Business-to-Government Vendor Registration, Contracts, and Order: The eVA
Internet electronic procurement solution, web site portal www.eVA.virginia.gov, streamlines and automates government purchasing activities in the Commonwealth. The eVA portal is the gateway for vendors to conduct business with state agencies and public bodies. All vendors desiring to provide construction and/or professional services to the Commonwealth shall participate in the eVA Internet e-procurement solution by completing the free eVA Vendor Registration. All bidders or offerors must register in eVA and pay the Vendor Transaction Fees specified below; failure to register will result in their bid/proposal being rejected.
Vendor transaction fees are determined by the date the original purchase order is issued and the current fees can be found on the eVA website at https://eva.virginia.gov/evabilling.html.
eVA Orders and Contracts: The solicitation/contract will result in one purchase order with the eVA applicable transaction fee assessed for each order.

Click Continue to enter payment information. Click Submit Payment to download the files.
Note the filename ( Download_#### ) if you need to search for it later.
Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
