RENOVATION & ADDITION TO CULPEPER MIDDLE SCHOOL

The School Board of Culpeper County, Virginia will receive sealed Bids for the RENOVATION & ADDITION TO CULPEPER MIDDLE SCHOOL, 14300 Achievement Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701. IFB No.: 25-01001

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Additions and renovation of Culpeper Middle School, approximately 40,000 sf new construction and 180,000 sf renovation to existing building, including associated sitework, access roads and utilities.

Bids shall be prepared on a single-prime, lump sum basis. Bids will be received until 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Culpeper County Schools Administration Office, 471 James Madison Hwy Suite 201, Culpeper, Virginia 22701. Bids will be opened and read aloud.

Bidders and other interested parties may purchase complete sets of Bidding Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) from TRASCO www.trascoplanroom.com (540) 345-1533.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Culpeper Middle School site on Monday January 27, 2025 at 10:30 AM.

FYI - The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory.

BID SECURITY: Each Contractor must submit, with the Bid Documents, a bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid as described in the Instructions of Bidders. The successful

Contractors will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds from a bonding company licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as described in the Instructions to Bidders.

The attention of each Bidder is directed to Title 54.1 of Chapter 11, Code of Virginia, pertaining to registration.

All Bids shall remain valid for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled bid due date.

Withdrawal of bids due to error shall be in accordance with Section 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, to accept the Bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner, and to negotiate with the apparent low bidder should the lowest responsive and responsible bid exceed the funds available for the project.

Instructions for Downloads & Extracting Files.

Click the download button.
The download queue shows your items selected to download.
Click Continue to enter payment information. Click Submit Payment to download the files.
Note the filename ( Download_#### ) if you need to search for it later.
Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
