Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center Roof Replacement

Due to expected inclement weather conditions, the Pre-Bid Conference will be postponed.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center on February 24, 2025 at 1:30 PM.

Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Commission will receive sealed bids for the Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center Roof Replacement located at 498 Coyner Springs Rd, Roanoke VA 24012.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Replacement of existing roofing with new single-ply TPO membrane roof and associated work.

Bids shall be prepared on a single-prime, lump sum basis. Bids will be received until 2:00 PM local time on March 6, 2025 at the Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center. Bids will be opened and read aloud.

Bidders and other interested parties may purchase complete sets of Bidding Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) from TRASCO @ www.trascoplanroom.com

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center on February 24, 2025 at 1:30 PM. Questions should be submitted in writing to build@spectrumpc.com on the Pre-Bid Question form included in the Specification.

BID SECURITY: Each Contractor must submit, with the Bid Documents, a bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid as described in the Instructions of Bidders. The successful Contractors will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds from a bonding company licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as described in the Instructions to Bidders.

The attention of each Bidder is directed to Title 54.1 of Chapter 11, Code of Virginia, pertaining to registration.

All Bids shall remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled bid due date. Withdrawal of bids due to error shall be in accordance with Section 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, to accept the Bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner, and to negotiate with the apparent low bidder should the lowest responsive and responsible bid exceed the funds available for the project.

Instructions for Downloads & Extracting Files.

Click the download button.
The download queue shows your items selected to download.
Click Continue to enter payment information. Click Submit Payment to download the files.
Note the filename ( Download_#### ) if you need to search for it later.
Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
