Sealed bids are invited for the Low-Slope roof replacement of the Dedmon Center for Radford University located at Radford, Virginia. This project is generally described as the replacement of +/- 28,000 SF (Contractor to verify all quantities) of ballasted roof system. Scope of work is to remove existing roof system to the existing roof deck, replace with new insulation, coverboard and 90-mil EPDM (30-yr warranted) roof system complete and in accordance with Plans, Specifications & all Addenda.

Sealed bids will be received at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction Office, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer on January 22, 2025. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 2:00 P.M. on January 23, 2025 at the same location.

A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2 and Contract Security is required) for any bid regardless of bid amount.

eVA Vendor Registration: The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. See the attached eVA Vendor Registration Requirements.

Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and § 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142 at 10 AM on January 7, 2025. Attendance shall not be a prerequisite for submitting a bid, but it is strongly recommended that all interested parties attend the pre-bid conference.

The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid. ‘Notice of Award’ or ‘Notice of Intent to Award’ will be posted on eVA, Virginia Department of General Services’ central electronic procurement website, at https://eva.virginia.gov.

Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements.

All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019.

The Invitation for Bids for the above project, including the drawings and the specifications containing the information necessary for bidding, may be obtained from the office of TRASCO (Technical Reproduction and Supply Corporation). Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com.

eVA Orders and Contracts: The solicitation/contract will result in one purchase order with the eVA applicable transaction fee assessed for each order.

Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder.
Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder.
Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
